Welcome To Our New Website!
On January 1, 2009 the Polk County Historical & Genealogical Library became a project of the Polk County Library Cooperative. We are highly pleased because this change of administration and oversight will make many good things happen for our facility! When you visit the library you will find the same friendly and familiar faces to serve you.
This new website is one of the positive changes you will be seeing in the future. We are excited about being able to bring you our "Online Resources" section. For the first time you will be able to access important information like our Index of Marked Burials, Index of Polk County Obituaries and Index of Polk County Marriages across the World Wide Web. We plan to add additional resources like the Polk County Tax Rolls, Deed Books and Probate Records as soon as possible. Also, don't forget to check out our new calendar! Our special events and holiday closures will be posted here for your convienence.
